Memorial Day Weekend 2005

What a crowd we had! The weather was sunny and mild; no tornados this year thank goodness.  All the sites were filled and camping enthusiasts kept coming. Picnic tables and fire rings were spread thin. The hitching post sites were all turned over to tent campers and then new places were created, "Just pick a spot, there's 100 acres to spread out in" was a not uncommon refrain. Multi-purpose sites were born with pop-ups, RVs, and tents sharing common ground.  We had a theme, "Lying" (rather unconventional but it worked) and activities including Jeff's extreme hay rides, Off The Road Park Tours, Hiking with Helga, and Nude Karaoke... some of the activities were lies I'll admit.  The Park held up admirably and looked beautiful.  High praise for all our hard work was easily solicited!  Everyone had fun.
